Everything about Al-Qadim is huuugggge. I like that it’s not gritty or “normal”. That fairy-tale style is perfect for D&D.

I think many of the full-page color paintings in this book were later used as covers for other books/boxed sets. Not sure about this one though.

The first time I played 3rd Edition we almost all died trying to climb a mound of garbage. 1 hp each fall, but we were 1st level so it was a real threat.

That bad guy doesn’t seem worried at all. I thought his pet was a gorgon but then it looks like it’s breathing fire, I don’t remember there being a “brass bull” monster in any of the books, but maybe I just forgot about it.
