It looks pretty cool and I’ve got the vague hope that its weapon sponsons are Diaclone compatible.

Okay, that's distressingly mercenary of them that C-12 comes with the Diaclone silver saber instead. Especially since they advertise the discrepancy on the product site itself

So the OverGear figures have a bunch of the standard 5mm ports... but they apparently also have 3mm ports all over them, so everyone (me) who also collects Diaclone is gonna immediately cover them with Diaclone accessories, lol www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfXE...

Fruitlessly searching for someone calling it a disaster, so I can reply with his Diaclone concept art.

Corvette Stingray may have been part of Diaclone, but it was designed for Americans, and created to become a Transformer.

…also, Tracks and the Omnibots go together. They came out at the same time in Diaclone, it’s the same gimmick. I’m never sure how many people clock this.

Ironically, it was Diakron which finally attracted the attention of Hasbro, and in 1983 they entered into the Transformers agreement.

Despite Diaclone having moved on to dinosaurs and triple changers, in 1984 Takara made one last Car Robot: an American muscle car.

After Bandai’s success exporting Chogokin, Takara’s Diaclone team made several attempts to attract a US import partner, by choosing a few car models that would specifically appeal to Americans.

Later, these cars were chosen for Diaclone’s ill-fated foray into the US market: Diakron.

Pssst, Tracks isn’t really part of Diaclone. He’s a Transformer in disguise.

So, Japan and America don’t like the same cars. While they love trains and rally cars (it’s no coincidence half the G1 cast was covered in sponsorship decals), we prefer off-road vehicles and sports cars.

I didnt get to own much, but I damn well window shopped on the internet & still do!

The most recent one I would've splurged on if I could've is the Diaclone revival.

Missing Link Evangelion Prime with Shinji Ikari Diaclone driver when?
February 12, 2026 at 6:37 PM
Probably. It's so nice to think that we might get reasonably priced versions of recolors of our beloved Diaclone molds.
February 12, 2026 at 5:36 PM
Some new pics of the Anode Jaguar, too. Mostly just doing the same exact things as the original. Slightly disappointed that they didn't add any new accessories, but not too surprised. Does look good combined with the Anode Geist; the color scheme match works better than the 1st pics led me to think.

Evangelion crossover Optimus looks... okay. One of those things where I love that it exists but I dunno if I can talk myself into actually buying one. (Just like the Diaclone x Zoids x Transformers crossover Optimus.)
February 12, 2026 at 4:25 PM
Missing Links are bastardly expensive for what they are but I absolutely must have a Spinout. Probably need the other Lambo mold and the Fairlady Zeds

And why not? Trains are cool.

I think Diaclone did finally eventually get around to that idea for a base that transforms into a trailer truck, later in the 80s.
February 11, 2026 at 9:12 PM
Was Diaclone's deep blue influenced by their move to copy Blue Train, or was making the Diaclone mecha blue what gave them the idea to copy Blue Train? No idea.

It does look sharp though, and after that first year, the color became a favorite of the line.

Blue Train later returned, for Train Robo.

By the way, here's one of the prototypes Takara designed for the launch of Diaclone.

Strangely, in 1979, they suddenly changed this concept from a transforming trailer truck... into a big blue train.

Dia Train: a moving command center, that opened up to reveal all sorts of secrets inside.

No diaclone, yes to waruders
February 10, 2026 at 4:22 PM
Just realized that's not a diaclone. Hunting for them now. They might be packed up already.
February 10, 2026 at 3:29 PM
Part of the Diaclone corps fighting Waruders? Or they have no idea what that is?
February 10, 2026 at 3:01 PM
Does anyone have both the Diaclone Powered Suits AND the Archecore dudes?

Wanted to see what the size comparison is of them side by side.
February 10, 2026 at 2:45 PM
Re: "first Takara combiner," do you mean their Diaclone information? Wasn't aware of that, if so!

The best Tactical Mover Versaulter in Diaclone so far - Aggress Versaulter . Absolute WOW. This line has come so damn far.

If I won the lotto, I'd probaly have a couple of the normal Robot Base & then use the black version as the flagship. But if I won the lotto I'd probably have A LOT of frivolous things I don't have now. Like actual time in my 40s to just sit & play around with my Diaclone stuff for its own sake 🤷‍♂️😅
