Well, it gives some options, which is what I thought was the really cool bit. I personally think the closer fit for “feel” is Jaunpuri, but opinions may vary!

Obviously serious students will be on another level but e.g. my mother, who studied Carnatic music quite seriously for twenty years or so, performed on AIR—I don’t think she knew what a thaat was until I defected to the other side
