I last played a show with Caleb about 4 years ago. It was maybe my tenth show or so - i had a lot to learn about being on stage (i still do tbh!). We never stop growing

Some random thoughts I had while playing the game in Alt:

I think it's a fair conclusion imo. Nuts & Bolts was kind of lackluster in my opinion and then Banjo-Kazooie has just been kinda shelved since. It's a real shame too because I feel there's great potential for a game to revive the series but it doesn't seem rare/microsoft is all that interested

Because like BK feels like nothing more than a merch brand for Rare at this point, meanwhile nintendo has porter both games. Like they even made a little trailer for Banjo tooie when they put it on nso and I know they do that for other games but idk they’re the only ones doing anything

Is it uncouth of me to say that I think Nintendo likes Banjo-Kazooie more than Rare does?

Yooka-Replaylee is everything Yooka-Laylee should have been, I was heartbroken when I played the original, I’m so happy it was given such a massive second chance! Honestly I think I like it better than Banjo-Tooie

Banjo-Kazooie is objectively the 81st best game of all time to our knowledge.

Alles selbermachen! Gustav Mesmer hat Flugräder gebaut und auch Instrumente. Er war arm, hatte nur alltäglichstes Material, aber eine wunderbar reiche Fantasie und einen unerschütterlichen Glauben an das Mögliche.

If you need a little break from all the doom and gloom this is another great series featuring Aussie interior designer Banjo and his husband Ro.

It also makes the idea of living on a remote Scottish island seem even more appealing

There is SO much potential for the Collect-o-thon genre if people can just let go of needing to perfectly recreate Mario 64, Banjo Tooie, or DK64

Besides, stuff like Garry's Mod scratch the itch for "giant sandboxes can just run around & mess with" craving they think only Collect-o-thons offer

I mean, at least Yooka Laylee does keep the vibe and cartoony joy of Banjo-Kazooie alive.

One can understandably call it a copy, but I see it as a... spiritual successor.

6. Yooka Laylee is of equal quality to the original Banjo Kazooie, outside of it's levels being too big it's pretty much on par with it's inspiration.

It only got the reaction it did because people were expecting the Banjo in their head and not the Banjo that existed in reality.

1. Collect-a-thon platformers have been and are stagnant because most of the modern ones refuse to evolve the genre, merely choosing to copy what Banjo or Mario did wholesale and thus, the genre fails to grab me much if at all.

To be fair, have you seen how much of a huge detour Jak took after this because games like Grand Theft Auto were taking the world by storm? That would be like putting Banjo and Kazooie in a car to drive around an open-world sandbox in!

Oh wait, that already happened.
