Day 6 and therefore the last day focusing on #watercolors. In this case, #PenStore had even written the challenge to create something using all the new supplies that have now been added.

I tried to use as few extras as possible. Just a few of my watercolors, a larger brush for the larger areas and drawing gum on the loose petals. Apart from that, I worked exclusively with the loot here. We had started this section with #Underlust, so - since #RosietheRose is the first character I thought of who has this color combo - we'll finish this section with Underlust as well. Started with the most tainted character of this #UndertaleAU and ending with the purest. 🌹

While it was cool to try out a medium like lettering, where I don't have much experience yet, it's also nice to do something in safer territory again. I'll have to see what motifs I use. Of course, it could be that I only draw Portraits for the next 6 days. They're simply the most fun with the medium. I'll start with one of my favorite characters from Dragon Age - this one actually comes right after Dorian in the popularity list. Loghain MacTir, hero of Riverdale. In this case somewhat younger - probably how he looked during The Stolen Throne. Yeah yeah, I know, he generally doesn't have that many fans compared to the crap he did in Origins. Guess I'm a sucker for grumpy guys with questionable morals and a tragic backstory :D

Here's a new brush that can generally be used to make more delicate strokes. Not the thinnest in my collection, but definitely the thinnest I've dared to use for acrylic paint so far. I felt the need to throw in something #DragonAge related for this category.

I think it's a bit more difficult with the Christmas theme - correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know there is no andrastequivalent to Christmas as we have it; at most maybe the #winter solstice is celebrated somehow - so I just went a bit more into the winter theme again. Well, the song is fittingly not a specific Christmas song ;) So I started with #Wintersolstice instead - well, and the name is more or less already in there. That and somehow the song fits #Solas' person in my ears <)

Today I had a nice, classic fineliner. In fact, one from a brand that I hadn't even had on my radar. I usually use Sakura almost exclusively. But the experience I've had with this thing so far is impressive. It doesn't smudge, has a very precise lead and sits well in the hand. 😎

And with the 18 we also conclude the #Sketching section. Due to the subtle trouble with getting the pastel pencils to draw, it was a special challenge to draw a picture with all the sketching utensils together.

This time I decided to put the pastel pencils on before I started on the outlines and shading with charcoal. To be fair, that worked a lot better. After having Carl in the Advent Challenge twice now, this time it's Leliana's turn as a motif, as her hair also went really well with the pastel tones - and because I was still missing Nightingales Eyes in the background music ;) One of the best pieces from the soundtrack in my opinion <33

The last few days have been pretty turbulent with the next darn bronchitis on top that I'm having to deal with, so unfortunately I'm only now finally getting around to uploading this :P

Of course, all the doors have long since been opened, but that doesn't change the fact that there are still two pictures missing for the #AdventChallenge to be able to complete it... or to be more precise, one more now ;) For the final doors, we now come to the actual classic #Arcyl tube color. Again, random selection and the choice is a bit more challenging here. Anyway, I didn't immediately know what I could paste on the paper in pale light pink and decided on a new #Underlust - this time for a #landscape #painting by Snowdin. I still have a lot of practicing to do with acrylics ^^; At least on this size here I'm still struggling with details that wouldn't be a big issue with ink or watercolors. But well, experience only comes through trial and error, and hey, that's why I do these challenges at the end of the day :)

I do have one or two pens lying around here that are suitable for this and I know a few basics, but apart from that, this is going to be a bit of a try and error, so no offense if the next few pictures in this #AdventChallenge are a bit wobbly XD I'm currently binging an old classic by German LetsPlayer Gronkh and I dug out his old Life is Strange LP. I got a bit of inspiration from it for the motif here ;)

The idea of doing something with Zelda came to me relatively spontaneously ..... at the risk of giving one or two gamers here Vietnam flashbacks XD And I think this is the first picture from the calligraphy series where I've really hit that typical lettering style.
