The flower belongs to the Verbascum genus, commonly known as mullein, in the figwort family (Scrophulariaceae). These biennial or perennial plants are recognized by their tall spikes covered in five-petaled yellow blossoms. The dense woolly hairs on the buds and leaves reduce water loss and protect against herbivores, allowing them to thrive in dry, sunny habitats. Their pollen-rich flowers are highly attractive to bees and other pollinators, playing an important role in sustaining insect biodiversity. Historically, mullein has also been valued in traditional herbal remedies for its leaves and flowers.

That would cool. I watch WildEarth all the time & they have commercials for their luxury safari vacations that I always think would be amazing, and seeing the animals in the wild, not in a zoo. Yes, I'm sure they are extremely pricey.

Steve found Xipuku in a tree. The Nottens male around the bottom. After scent marking and rasping he left the area and Xipuku went to Rulani. Guides later reportet Kuchava in the tree where Xipuku had been. Steve stayed with Rulani. #wildearth 1/2

Xipuku very very unhappy in the tree. Ears to the side. The new male is in particular a great danger to him.

Rulani very alert and unhappy in the gras after Xipuku comes over to were she is.

This morning Xipuku, Rulani and Kuchava were seen with a male. While Rulani was seen by other guides we spent time with Xipuku up in a tree. Later found Kuchava. She has light injuries on her paw and a cut under her tail. But is ok. Steve later found the Nottens male. 1/2
