Yesterday's adventure to Echo Lake, “Far Away in Time”
Hundreds of spectacular waterfalls surround Squamish in every direction and elevation.
There are at least a dozen en route to Echo Lake with plenty of pools to cool off in. 8 km in each direction with 1000m of elevation gain.

💎 Mineral Monday 💎
These smooth, waterworn pebbles may look ordinary—but they’re actually corundum from Sri Lanka! Corundum is the mineral family that gives us rubies and sapphires. Without the right trace elements, they stay colorless or gray—but still incredibly hard and beautiful.

I've taken a trip to Georgian Bay recently. I'll be posting a few pictures from this trip over the next couple of days. These are from the Grotto national park.

A rock shelf with ice in the grotto itself, which is a waterworn cave with some bird inhabitants.

Made some natural toad hides. I had scored someone's shell collection at an auction for $2. Some of the smalls will be crushed for my tomatoes, but these should be good toad/frog shelters. Doors were cut using a dremel and smoothed down. #gardening #toads #frogs #permaculture #shells #upcycle #reuse

Lancing Beach: Day trip south to seaside town on the English Channel, part of the Atlantic Ocean. Shingle beach of waterworn gravel is a playground for dog chasing (not necessarily fetching) balls. Winds well-suited for kitesurfing school, and the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm 20km off the coast.
