If you hit me, you will see my body flinch, you will know I am in pain. But the pain inside my heart, the wounds in my mind—you will never see them. Mental pain is silent, invisible, yet it cuts deeper than any wound on the skin. It breaks me from within, where no one can reach, where no one can truly understand. That unseen suffering is heavier than any blow, because it hides behind my eyes and my smile, while my soul quietly bleeds.

Unseen Wounds

I've been trying to get at
The core wound in me
She's there I can feel her

I've been trying to reach out
And tell her I'm on her side
I want to take care of her

But she's been betrayed,
Hurt, and gone through the unthinkable
Nevertheless I gently speak to her
Try to coax her back home

Something must have moved,
Something must have worked,
I woke up this morning to a pain
In my heart chakra ❤️
A pain so deep, it cannot be described

As I lay there I felt it
I allowed myself to feel
That which she has had to feel all of these years
And I was grateful to feel it
To take take burden from her

I will keep trying
To heal her wounds
And feel what she had to hold inside
All those years ago.
