I've had to sit through two trainings where not one thing they've said sounded useful and they want me to just play around with it and figure out how to use it for a job I've been doing for over 20 years and it hasn't fundamentally changed. Nah, won't be doing that, thanks.

The fascist sympathizers have trainings for warrior police and legislators to get their pro-rich, pro-authoritarian bills passed, but they complain about protestors learning how to use the tactics of civil disobedience, which were used in the revolution?

I know the wine moms are a better punchline but if you went to one of the early trainings it was by far mostly women over 60 out front. Aunties and grandmas. Don't forget it.

Philly is full of activism. Yesterday, on the way to a vigil outside the ICE HQ, I met two old ladies who were on their way to put up anti-ICE signs someplace else. We are all getting ready, distributing whistles, doing trainings.

Understanding your rights is important in protecting yourself and your community. Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC) has a complete Know Your Rights section as well as video and in-person trainings, action items, and volunteer opportunities.
