-Strengthening cap beams, columns, footings, & abutments
Installing ground anchors

SDOT played a key role in the development & permitting of this megaproject which required changes to the street network

It’s Monday morning and the #SpottslightOnSeattle series pedals through the Fred Hutch campus & the biomedical research buildings along Eastlake Ave. We installed this bike lane as an early downpayment on Rapid Ride J.
I use it several times a week biking from SLU to my stairs workout in Eastlake

So many of the bridges over I-5 feel hostile to people walking and biking…
I was so happy to see this connection from downtown to Capitol Hill become traffic-calmed and welcoming for walking & biking

This transformative project was underway for a year when I arrived in Seattle in Sept 2022, and bus service began in Sept 2024. I love how Madison is now bus-optimized, traffic-calmed and safer to walk

🌲 Our Dallas Ave project preserved-in-place majestic trees by narrowing the roadway and building new sidewalk on the opposite side of the trees. The result is traffic calming, smooth sidewalks and more growing space for the roots
