Today I’m visiting three museums in Downtown LA that are along the Regional Connector light rail.
Part of the joyful urban experience is hopping the Metro within a downtown for tourism or recreation

🏡 Another interesting finding in the study is that many of the condo buyers are downsizing, freeing up larger housing units. The ripple effects of new housing construction are beneficial and multifaceted
Interesting new working paper that studies chains of movers after the construction of a new apartment building in Honolulu.

Paper finds that the project resulted in the opening up other, lower cost, housing on the island, benefiting the housing market overall.

Yay for safe crossing of NW 15th in Ballard!
Counted 50 people celebrating a new traffic light, so at least I'm not alone.

Three years ago we opened the first bike project that was started and finished during my initial two months as Director of SDOT. The project completed the cycletrack around Green Lake by placing concrete barriers to take a small slice of Aurora for bikes on the east side of the lake.

i rode Rapid Ride D up to Ballard just to try the new pushbutton signal at 15th Ave NW and 51st St. i saw two different people use it within 5 mins. So happy to see a more people-friendly environment on what used to feel like a surface highway
