Active Region AR4246 has now fully rotated around the west limb. This active region was a small power-house of flare production, dishing out dozens of flares no bigger than M5.
In memorial, here's a video of the last week of activity. It may yet return as a new active region if it survives the far side.

The Moon has a tenuous atmosphere — so tenuous that #spaceweather affects atmospheric #weather. Congratulations to ISRO and the Chandrayaan-2 team for measuring “high” pressure zones associated with CME impacts on the lunar atmosphere! ☀️🛰️🧪🆒

Several solar storms have been sent towards Earth, but so far nothing very geo-effective has hit. A large coronal home is now facing us which should cause a further rise in geomagnetic activity in a day or two.
