I could multitask when I was younger. Now I can’t even singletask.

i was productive for a while today but also i avoided watching videos and critically, playing videos as background noise. It wasn't an intentional thing, I think I'm mostly too tired, but it's nice. I think learning to singletask again will be my thing for the rest of the decade

Here are the 4 types of launch modes in Android :

1️⃣ Standard
2️⃣ SingleTop
3️⃣ SingleTask
4️⃣ SingleInstance

I'd say they might be multitasking but I'd be surprised if they could singletask

3. SingleTask :

In singleTask mode, if an instance of the activity already exists anywhere in the task, Android reuses that instance instead of creating a new one.

However, all activities above it in the stack are cleared.

They can't singletask

thanks for that, and yeah, they are super different. i do find sticking to routines help with either type. for hypomanic mixed, i just try to singletask, slow down, and rest/sleep as much as possible. that usually helps to reset things. i hope you feel better soon, too. thanks for the lily. 🎭
