I doubt they'd do that, because Shiny Hunting has this prestige attached to it (which I don't care about, but people like pic related do) and also because it's important for the Brand™ that each Pokemon has a single established design they can market.

question: Do you think making shinies much easier to get in PLA devalued shinies? response: Absolutely. They used to be a really cool random encounter that felt super exciting due to being so rare. They also were rare enough that you didn't feel like shiny hunting would be viable, so most people wouldn't waste time on that. Now shinies are almost just different coloured pokemon. There isn't really much excitement to finding one when you can more or less guarantee one within hours. I remember in most of my Usum and SM playthroughs, that I wouldn't leave the first island until I had found a shiny rockruff or another pokemon that I wanted lol. I guess it's cool that you can actually reasonably play with the shinies now. But it definitely takes away from them feeling special.

An eclipse sort of symbol would probably be best, actually. Her main color outside of the Rockruff ones is orange, and she will eventually evolve into Duskanroc.

An eclipse is the perfect sort of middle ground between sun and moon. Both are out and giving their "blessing" on her.

This is a character I actually commissioned from Risuchan004 over on FA over 3 years ago and the first real pic I got of her from @alefgp.bsky.social that is much more recent. This is Umbrix, a Midna-Braixen with some magical girl aesthetics about her. Also able to manipulate shadows, as you can see
