Look, I’m South African. The only reason club rugby exists to produce test players. Wonderful that he won a few 6N. Had he stayed on, he might’ve won a RWC playoff game.
My biggest criticism of him, however, is that he is a mercenary, ie, has no loyalty. If he did, maybe he’d be Rassie.

I find it more likely that flogging players in attritional positions is disastrous for welfare and fitness in the medium-term. Between RWC, Lions and the series in South Africa, these players have been "on" a long time. Porter has played 29 internationals in 3 seasons; Bealham 25; Furlong, 21.

Fair enough, I’m not saying it’s good. Just that based on Nov, which mattered much less, I don’t think Farrell is ready to move on from a cohort of players that will be too old by the RWC
