Renesa iteratively imaged a dozen RNAs at once to address whether localized RNAs travel singly or co-packaged with other RNAs. We thought we would uncover patterns of colocalization reflecting shared transport. But it turns out, abundance best predicted how often RNAs were found together 🧪

We have seen it also in the NiR channel. Their opal 690 is strong (RNAscope as well). Thanks for your feedback!

Yes, we'd sometimes have bleedthrough in red and green channels from opal 690 while using standard RNAscope protocol. Only from cells with very high signal though.

In this recent study, RNAscope mapping showed limited CB1R–MOR co-expression, mainly in thalamic glutamatergic neurons, suggesting cannabinoid–opioid synergy arises from parallel activation in distinct circuits rather than direct receptor interaction

Hi #RNASky 👋 - does anyone have thoughts/experience they would like to share re: #RNAScope vs #RNA #FISH? Even better if you've tried it in plants 🌱

If you don't feel comfortable sharing publicly please DM me

Much appreciated!

We also had fun with a wide range of techniques from RNAscope and western blot on human DRG, to skin nerve-terminal fractionation, peptide arrays, CRISPR gene editing in cultured and in-vivo DRG.
All converging on one conclusion: FGFR3-autoantibodies bind FGFR3 to sensitize pain.
