“Amselfelder” is a popular wine brand from Kosovo. The brand was developed in the 1960s and owned by Racke, a large German wine distributor, before being sold in 2008 . Originally a sweet red blend of Gamay-Cab Sauv-Pinot Noir-Vranac- Prokupac; best-selling wine in W Germany in the 1960s & 1970s.

This one is a blend of three local grapes: prokupac, vranac and zacinjak, and as the couple tells it, it's an expression of the of Rogljevo, where they are located. Vinified in Burgundy style and matured for 18 months at minimum, this wine is inky, flavorful and long-lasting. Excellent!
