UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.

If you call Senator Chuck Schumer right now at 2:51 pm you'll get a message about how the office isn't open and to call back before 5 with the normal answering machine never picking up...

#PrimaryAllDEMS who refuse to demand that Schumer step down.
Senate Democrats walked away empty-handed, and don’t let anyone tell you different.

Tim Kaine and the others bought the lie that Republicans would negotiate on extending the ACA subsidies. They won’t.

Dems got played, Schumer failed to keep his caucus together, and the American people got nothing.

@democraticparty.bsky.social

ALL DEMS better start listening to voters & start giving rapt attention to their ACTUAL function as REPRESENTATIVE VOICES of The People because there are enough of us to send you all back to civilian lives!

START SACKING UP

OR

START PACKING UP!
MAGAts in Congress worry about a primary. I say primary all Dems. ALL DEMS. Almost all have proven wishy-washy, and the good ones would win. As Aliens' Ripley would say, nuke 'em from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

This is correct. In addition to all the other grave consequences of this bill it essentially defunds a big chunk of local DC government.
I don’t think enough attention has been put on how services for DC residents are going to be destroyed they have to find 1$ billion dollars in their budgets from schools, police, fire, parks etc
March 13, 2025 at 11:15 PM
And @booker.senate.gov has no plan and zero intentions of actually doing anything about. These "calls to action" are wholly and solely campaign donation fundraising tactics. Establishment dems have no interest in fixing anything, because they have too much vested in the status quo. #primaryalldems

Your silence is compliance.

Be forewarned, if you don't speak out against this travesty, payback will be a bitch.

Win or lose, #PrimaryAllDems.

It's the only way to be sure.
Gotta say this holds up quite well. Here's my thoughts about where things stand now after Schumer has finally shown his cards. Seems clear he has enough Yes votes on cloture to give Trump and Musk their bill. He probably has at least a couple to spare. The vote is tomorrow morning. The odds ...
Okay, Schumer's speech was a head fake. This is the Senate D caucus trying to fool their own supporters. Sorry to say that but that's what's happening.

Schumer: "For sure, the Republican bill is a terrible option. It is not a clean CR. It is deeply partisan. It doesn't address far too many of this country's needs. But I believe allowing Donald Trump to take even much more power via a government shutdown is a far worse option."

Expand to read. Basically, trump and musk are destroying democracy in real time, and dumbass Democrats aren't doing anything, but help trump confirm his totally unqualified cabinet picks. #PrimaryAllDems
