#Peer-#Feedback
I had students produce podcasts for their midterm projects, and they'll collaborate to make group podcasts for their final projects. peer feedback is part of the grade, so they listen and comment on each other's work, replicating group discussion format of class sessions. it's been great!

You did not submit inferior work. Peer review is an editorial process. Editorial feedback improves your work.

You are probably right that we don’t talk about this enough. I hope your revisions go well.

Peer review gets a lot of kudos, but often it's the feedback we get direct from people we know and trust before a paper is even submitted that feels like it has the most significant impact on our work. These people usually show up in the acknowledgements, where they get almost no recognition at all.

I know norms are breaking down all around us, but you can't put "Comes across like Mango, if Chris Kattan was a less charismatic and talented performer" in a peer-to-peer feedback form. You have to at least gesture your critique is about my job, and not my "whole thing".

Today I received a request for feedback about Elsevier's "contributions" to the peer review system. Detailed completion of that was, let's say, cathartic.

When I taught Wikipedia editing, I used to do a ‘speed dating’ peer review exercise where the students would all review each other’s WIP articles - it worked great, the students enjoyed it, and the feedback was always on point.

Does BioRxix not already allow you/us to do exactly that? Indexed repository, version-controlled updates, transparent options for peer feedback and author replies. Each version can have updated author contributions to document individual contributions.
