#Paperweights
There are legal mechanisms in place related to wartime goods staying in country for NatSec needs - So they we have $$ paperweights.

The F35s require a lot of expensive maintenance & other F-tech have a short working life/^injuries…

There are also alternatives.

Better discussions are needed.

I love a lot about How It’s Made (autistic) but the combination of random items per episode is my favorite.
Nutcrackers.
Millefiori paperweights.
Road salt.
Car doors.

Fuck yeah, ok.

So I learned that nothing kills a gacha game for me faster, than a forced on me trial team during story quests.
I dont tend to play end game and not being able to use my units in story mode makes them kinda useless paperweights.
Then I stop farming, then I stop logging in and finally I uninstall

When you hear Rock you may think of loud music and exciting concerts that your parents don’t approve of. But it turns out Rock is quite a bore. Without the Roll, rocks don’t do much do they... Kinda a bore really…
Honestly? science should be studying Roll instead of paperweights

Tesla stopping production of it's models... How soon will Teslas be giant paperweights, once Musk decides to lock out every user from their own car so he doesn't have to pay for support for those models....

Can confirm, there are only 12 of these limited edition paperweights in THE WORLD (4 outside the UK) and there can only ever be 12 of these due to the supplier no longer stocking this specific paperweight base…
Okay okay okay, I’ll tell you what it was: a beautiful, limited edition paperweight of a phoenix, the logo of @srsrensoc.bsky.social, which I received from the amazing @racheljwillie.bsky.social

Just woke up from a dream that a friend gave me as a gift my most unhinged posts on a series of polished, stone paperweights.

"That last one," he said, "is from a chunk of 'the Bernhard Langer,' the largest piece of soapstone that ever fell from space."

Since the alternative was ending up with 700 euro worth of paperweights anyway, I decided saw my Pro Pens open.

Learned a few things about how they work, and also that somehow gunk can build up inside the sensor, even a little being enough to completely fuck the pen up.

My convoluted notes:

Ikea Discovers That Making Tech Work Is Harder Than Printing A Manual
Ikea has finally expanded its reach from selling Swedish meatballs and particle board bookshelves to selling overpriced paperweights that refuse to join your Wi-Fi. The new Matter over Thread lineup was supposed to be the glorious dawn of the interoperable smart home. Instead, it is a reminder that the "S" in smart home usually stands for suffering. Wasn't Matter supposed to fix the absolute disaster that is home automation?

This is the point where the Russian economy simply begins convulsing. Like building the K-19 submarine and realizing someone could not afford the 50kopek transistor, they end up with a large number of rusting multi million dollar paperweights.

They will be expensive paperweights.

I've just listed these mushroom top paperweights on my Etsy shop! They are made using only recycled material from my custom controller buttons, meaning each one is a unique, one of a kind piece!
