Updated BP guideline adopts AHA’s new PREVENT (Predicting Risk of CVD Events) risk calculator, released 2023, replacing pooled cohort equations (PCEs) from prior decade.
With PREVENT, a 10-year predicted CVD risk of 7.5% or higher defines increased risk & is equivalent to 10% risk using the PCEs.
