I know that Canadian Maplelea dolls represent specific regions and cultures in Canada, but there are not "historical characters" in the Maplelea line like there are in the American Girl line. I'm interested in the particular historical project of the American Girl historical characters.

Im quite shocked that they are only $115 in 2023. Inflation does not appear to have hit Maplelea. I mean, I’m still not buying one.

This American Girl doll collector just welcomed her first Maplelea doll: Saila Qilavvaq! She lives in Iqaluit, Nunavut, speaks English and Inuktitut, and shares her Inuit heritage through her journal, which takes place in present day. I'm excited to read her book and learn more about Inuit history.
