#Loghrif
ffxiv leaves the overall nature of shards somewhat vague, with some being basically exact duplicates of each other, while others are quite different from each other (this is the core of gaia's whole arc, wherein a reincarnation of the SAME shard of loghrif is a very different person between lives)

Sadu Dotharl doesn't count, since she's less antagonistic than Magnai; Titania's not a real character; Gaia survived by the skin of her teeth with the "She's not technically Loghrif and she's actively denying that former identity" defense, thank god

on one hand the overall story with mitron & loghrif: entirely something i would be into. to an extent i am still into the story of warped, obsessive love that is presented. but also i am going to hit mitron with a chair, Get The Fuck Away

the yuri drama to end all yuri drama when its revealed how much friction there was between mitron loghrif halmarut. you get to go back in time again to watch it happen Live

and beyond those two there's the obvious with than+min+ryne and ran'jit+other oracles+ryne and mitron+loghrif+gaia, then eden taking than+min+ryne and drawing a parallel with hraesvelgr+shiva+ysayle back in hw, then there's branden+sauldia and granson and his fiancee in the role quests, etc etc etc

Probably not but she did go to first gateway fate she was the Loghrif with me!! Ty appreciate the offer!! Still trying to decide between flying and driving, might somewhat depend on how much luggage we end up needing to bring too...
January 22, 2026 at 2:34 PM
yeee I completely forgot about mentioning that! Mitron/Loghrif are definitely an F/F canon pair, but I can't say the same about Gaia/Ryne which is left ambiguous!!! But I'm also not adding them into the MSQ because they aren't ever mentioned in game, it's only in the web side stories :/

The convocation of 13 has had various ivy shards in hand at various times:
Cylva (13th / Igeyorhm, then Elidibus)
Scylla (Source / Fandaniel)
Calyx (9th / Halmarut)
Ardbert (1st / Loghrif and Mitron, then Elidibus)
Note emet's absence from that roster. He avoids them. And not just out of grief.

As stated above, Hebe was profoundly touched by the words of many members of the convocation and their fields of study, most notably, Emmeroloth, Loghrif and Halmarut. Each sharing great overlap as fields concerned with the healing arts and the natural world, to preserve and caring for life itself

Zodiac sign :: Homestuck troll :: Final Fantasy XIV Ascian / Convocation of the Fourteen seat (minus everyone's favorite oomf)

Yup. The part that still is unclear is why are they still deteriorating even with the Ascians gone. Because unleashing the Flood in the First needed a trigger: the battle with Mitron and Loghrif. Loghrif died and Mitron became the first sin eater thanks to the Warriors of Light.

emmerololth doesn't actually appear in eureka despite her involvement narratively, loghrif only shows up as herself in flashbacks, mitron you have to do some digging to know she's a woman, girl ascian stocks have been so dire

ummmmmmm collective trauma over an actual time compression event almost happening until everyone got sundered suddenly manifesting as an idea in Loghrif/Mitron thousands of years later….? anyone?
January 2, 2026 at 9:54 PM
i do actively enjoy like. past loghrif and mitron (like ascian versions) but in my head those are very separate entities and story lines
January 1, 2026 at 6:05 PM
The one that made me pull the trigger was, in effect,"would it really have been so bad if Gaia just accepted becoming Loghrif so she could be with him?"
January 1, 2026 at 6:01 PM
Mitron was also apparently a sappy romantic with Loghrif. One of the Elpis side-quests involves helping out students of Mitron and finding out that Mitron sent them on an delivery assignment to get a flower (that's still being tested) for Loghrif. ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/The_Per...

..theres something troubling yet also a little amusing about the possibility that (ancient) loghrif was so forgetful because of ["Fusing"] so often with mitron fsdjkghkf

…were they talking about mitron being the reason why loghrif didnt become the heart of zodiark? mitron being caged in eden and needing saving, once that incarnation of loghrif died while they were fused?
January 1, 2026 at 5:00 AM
I should check if they have fixed Gaia telling Mitron she's writing a "diary" in eden questline.

In jp she's saying she'll write a book/novel about Mitron and Loghrif, not diary.

I've seen people attribute her behaviour to (justifiable) anxiety at being faced with a notorious predator of one's kind but LOL, that looked 1000% like fangirl energy.

That aside, she's such an oddball too, I love her already.

In the past, Mitron created life to thrive in the sea, and Loghrif life to thrive upon terra firma. Neighboring realms inextricably linked, and as the waves were forever drawn to the shore, so too were the pair inseparable. Both of their designs resided in Akadaemia Anyder.

Erichthonios
He told me of yet more belegged plants from the Words of Halmarut, which had escaped and taken root in a region designated for Loghrif creations, making proper assessment quite impossible.
