Finally made the jump from Docker to Kubernetes, specifically K3s. Also swapped Plex for Jellyfin because it actually plays nice with containers.

            A developer shares their journey migrating from Docker to Kubernetes using K3s, covering why Docker fell short, how K3s simplifies multi-node setups, lessons from running Plex on Kubernetes, and why J...

        刷新k3s的证书以实现远程访问 部署k3s或者k8s,在公网之类的需要远程访问的地方,往往会碰到tls: failed to verify certificate: x509这类毛病;我们需要将ip固定后重新刷新证书

      Morning thought, stay on k3s for most systems but be able to spin up some Talos kubelet nodes that can connect to the cluster.

Je viens de test une install de k3s sur un RPi4 dédié à cette expérience. 2+ de load en permanence, 60% de CPU constant bouffés par kube-{apiserver,scheduler}
Même SBC, install de k0s: load ~0.30, 7% de CPU pour kube-apiserver, 0.5 pour le scheduler.

Previously used UP Core Plus boards for a k3s cluster. 4x boards pulled about 11.5 Watts full CPU load w/adhoc wireless (cheapest 4 port switch took about 12W by itself, left it wifi).
16C, 32GB mem, 256GB storage @ 8W idle
Perfect for a battery!

    OpenStack on top of Kubernetes (K3s) that runs in VMs which are hosted on a 3-node Proxmox bare metal cluster, aka BabushkaCloud ☁️🚀🔥. This way you could spin up sovereign regions for your own private cloud(s) on any hyperscaler that allows KVM on their BMS, or at your premises, in less than an hour.

    Flux + K3s + Longhorn + Minio-on-TrueNAS is just way easier to manage than a million docker containers - once you figure out a way to configure this stuff that makes sense. Starting from zero is rough, and I've built along the way. But now I've got a robust, config-as-code homelab.
