Finally caved in and got JetKVM since I'm getting tired of the fact RustDesk is still blocked on my ISP and I have no easy way to remote control my server otherwise

My JetKVM showed up today, and... it's kind of amazing? When I was researching it, I somehow entirely missed the ISO upload feature that lets you use it as a boot device.

J’ai cru avoir briqué mon NanoKVM Pro après avoir tenté une mise à jour via balenaEtcher. J’ai trouvé une image pour carte SD sur GitHub, ce qui a résolu le problème.

Maintenant, je m’attaque au JetKVM, mais la mise à jour a aussi échoué (j'ai la poisse).

Mon JetKVM est breaké avec l'update, et impossible de faire la samition de recovery, Linux ou Windows ne le voit pas.

Surtout que JetKVM ne m'a jamais envoyé la totalité de ma commande.

J'ai sorti le serveur du pool pour pouvoir gérer mes VM via Xen Orchestra.

Et comme les emerde volent en escadrille, je fais la mise à jour du JetKVM et pouf plus de capture HDMI.

Does the JetKVM work well? When I built my current home server I saved $ by omitting IPMI. But I do want the ability to do things without having to go to my garage.

これちょっとほしい。HDMIとマウス・キーボードをブラウザ経由で遠隔操作できる。遅延は少なめ(100msくらい)だが音声の転送はなし、ゲームは厳しい。お値段もお手頃。データセンターはいずりまわってたころだったら即買いだったな。モニタやキーボードガチャガチャつなげるの面倒なのよ。

Replaced the (junk, never had it working) nanoKVM with the (great build quality, worked first time) JetKVM for my homelab. That's better. 🤓

I have successfully transported my old QNAP TVS-882 (now running proxmox and TrueNAS) across the country to my parents' house. It's all set up and connects to my tailscale tailnet. I now have self-hosted off-site storage. It's also got a JetKVM on it in case anything goes wrong.

god, the jetkvm is so cool. its such a simple concept but like it works really well. i can access my home PC over LTE from the office with just a click
