Then my hands go to sink into your hair, to cherish slowly the depth of your hair while we kiss as if our mouths were filled with flowers or with fish, with lively movements and dark fragrance. Celebrated the nephew’s birthday and spent a whole weekend away.

Small school, fresh air, and lots of fun in learning without academic stress; maybe we should plan our move back to the rural areas too someday.

A Hard Lesson You’ve got no reason to pick the flower. Might as well tell somebody how to love. The best part is its wholeness, how it grows there unassisted. Perfect symmetry. It comes in waves. The sadness of old clothes thick piles of paper. How they remind you of everyone you used to be. Maybe another language has a word for this. It's springtime delicious. Outside, we race against the intervals of a sump pump. I'm drawing a hopscotch in sidewalk chalk. She never gets tired of laughing. Teach me to celebrate. A singular tulip, its stem content in a tangle of rain.

a soulslike is a game where moving the mouse at all makes you rapidly switch targets, several NPCs have creepy laughs, and the player is so bad at jumping they can't play hopscotch but enemies can jump 20ft in the air as part of a combo

Heyo! My name is Milo and I've been hosting and designing play-by-post (PbP) games for over 4 years now. PbP is a format rarely discussed and I'll be sharing perspectives from my own community.

Hopefully these insights can enrich other PbP communities too.
Play-by-Post Design Is Like Street Art It’s everywhere if you care to look for it. There is something foundationally innocent in the idea that no matter where you go, people will find a way to play games with each other. If someone could leave some mark somewhere, another one can respond and connect beyond the confines of synchronicity or physicality — a mural that screams to the world that I was here and you found me. Virtual spaces are also community spaces. They are places where people can congregate, talk, explore, and play together. Except, we can only communicate with each other by altering the very space we navigate. Messages hang in the air for everyone to see; forum posts don’t leave once their contents are understood; every single bit of communication is an artefact of play — much like chalk marks of a hopscotch game yet to be washed by the rain. Yet we can only express through what we are allowed to alter, confined by the architecture of the digital space, its layout, and the tools it provides. One must first learn to navigate the space before learning the rules of the game. It is here that play-by-post designers see beyond the confines of what was intended. While they can’t construct new elements, they can design over the virtual space itself, augmenting and reframing its features. Any website can suddenly become a rich tapestry of collective storytelling — displacing corporate intention with mediums of expression. Every site has a dedicated play-by-post community. It is perhaps one of the most enduring formats there is. Even if we could never be together in time or space, we can still play together. Our writing will be there for anyone to find.

The first child-friendly infrastructure that can be seen from space: installing 300 school streets in a few years will change this city forever. How does this work? In 2020, Anne Hidalgo launched the "Rues aux écoles" program with a simple but powerful idea: the streets in front of schools should belong to children, not cars. What does that mean in practice? it closing or calming traffic around schools. @ It means replacing asphalt with trees, plants, benches, and playful markings. It means creating safe, green, welcoming spaces where children can breathe cleaner air, parents can feel reassured, and neighbors gain a new sense of community. Why it matters? For decades, our streets have been designed around cars. But children are some of the most vulnerable to pollution, noise, and road danger. By redesigning streets around schools, Paris is: Reducing exposure to pollution (studies show up to 30% less NO, near pilot schools). ≥ Lowering noise and traffic risk for kids at drop-off and pick-up. fa Adding resilience against heatwaves by greening paved spaces. .. Creating community spaces where play and social life can thrive. The progress so far: V 224 streets already transformed 74 fully redesigned with trees, planting beds, and play areas v 300 school streets planned by 2026 (including 100 "fully greened" ones) This isn't just temporary barriers-it's long-term urban change. Some streets are fully closed, others allow slow, local access. Many are now filled with hopscotch games, fruit trees, colorful ground markings, or benches. The result? Safer routes, healthier air, happier kids-and stronger communities. What I love about this program is how small, local actions add up to big change: A quieter drop-off makes the school day start differently. A greener, shaded street helps families during summer heat. A reclaimed street shows children that their city values them. It's urban transformation rooted in care, safety, and climate resilience. Imagine if your city had "school streets" like this. What would it change for our children, our neighborhoods, and our collective well-being? Paris is proving it's possible-and the results are inspiring. To the planners, educators, activists, and city leaders making this real: thank you. And to others working on similar ideas-let's connect, exchange, and bring these transformations to more cities around the world.
