#Forgejo-based
Hey, does anyone know how to configure a #codeberg #ci pipeline that automatically builds on tagged commits and releases it into Codeberg/Forgejo Maven Repo.

The idea is to deploy my Java based cab4j Project (https://codeberg.org/fuxle/cab4j ) for use in other projects

Might be completely unsupported, but Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 (x86_64) runs perfectly fine on the bhyve hypervisor on my FreeBSD :freebsd: based home-server :-)

Running several applications (like Forgejo, Traefik and uptime-kuma) in Podman containers and […]

Codeberg has gained quite a bit of traction as a github alternative. The software it's based on, Forgejo, can also be self-hosted.

Is there a way to build macOS (or iOS) apps with the forgejo-runner? Or some other runner that supports this with a Forgejo instance?

As far as I can tell it's not officially supported, and considering how Docker-based it all seems the be maybe not even feasible?

I'd suggest Forgejo which is a fork of Gitea and also slowly implementing AP-based federation.

This weekend, I finally found time and migrated my pet project homelab git system to #forgejo so now I can start experimenting with actions based on rootless #podman runners. It seems that the demo job is all good.

Closes #2797 I'm aware of https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/28163 exists, but since I had it laying around on my drive and collecting dust, I might as well open a PR for it if anyone wants the f...

One reason for anchorforce: As its based on git that makes I can use Gitea, and that means maybe Forgejo is an option.

Looking to leave GitHub?

Try Codeberg — it's Git, but based in Germany (Europe), without all of Microsoft's nonsense. They're also on the Fediverse: @Codeberg.

But wait — it gets better!

Codeberg is open source, and you can even host your own instance. The software is called Forgejo, built by […]

@emd I specifically chose forgejo cause it is what codeberg is based on. And it has github->forgejo migrations built in, all you have to do is give it your github api key and it does the rest (in theory, Im still setting up some other things).

Ill let you know how the actual migration goes.

I do quite like tangled.sh! I hope it gains all the features of Forgejo, maybe get different front-ends for viewing repos & the network, and hopefully get organizations (based on already existing atproto accounts?)!
maybe I should move all my code over from other forges onto tangled!

GitHub’s owned by Microsoft and is currently trying to force everyone to use their stupid AI. The big independent alternatives currently are GitLab and Codeberg (based on Forgejo).

If you're using GitHub, I would recommend, Code Berg.

It is GIT based in Germany, Europe with better privacy laws and no AI.

Follow them @Codeberg

You code also self-host your own copy of Code Berg, which runs the software Forgejo. See @forgejo

#CodeFloe, a public #Forgejo-based #Github alternative, now has support for file icon sets (with 'devicon' being the default set).

The icon set can be switched on a per-user basis.

Just sayin' y'all, but if you've got code you want to host on a codeforge, and you WANT to miss the AI hype train completely, @Codeberg is right here~

They run on @forgejo and are a small op based in Germany if any of that matters to you. The only concession you make is expecting some […]

Finished migrating the server for my personal website and my Forgejo git forge over from Hetzner to Netcup 🙂

it seems like #gitea and #forgejo instances are like catnip to commercial #llm scrapers. I implemented some user agent and IP based blocks but it doesn't seem like that's enough... Time to try out this anubis thing everyone's been talking about

@timbray
I signed up for Codeberg (based in Europe, uses Forgejo) for similar reasons, plus the obvious US hesitancy for a Canadian now.

worktree.ca doesn't say what software it uses but after signing up and looking at the interface HTML source it is Gitea.

I recall switching my own Gitea […]

atproto fixes that. theoretically AP on forgejo would too to a certain extent but then youre left with the downside of your account being tided to a specific instance which would also be extremely annoying.

i came to tangled for atprotos identity model i stayed for the knots and round based PRs!
