In Earthspark, he's similarly different, but also gentle and attentive, and I love that he deviates from the Decepticon stereotype, that he cares for Nightshade. I wish they had used him more.

It appears that Decepticons use the Predacon and Autobots use the Maximal language. I thought it was Autobot and Decepticon languages but it appears to be not
