I don't know what they were thinking with cutting it. I never thought it would be to do with costs, but maybe you are right. I'm still very happy to be able to play this game though, and I hope they remake DQVIII also but with less cuts.

I did a pros and cons list for Dragon Quest VII Reimagined. The cons won.

it's so fucking funny that Square Enix keeps putting the Dragon Quest VIII outfit in their games when 1) DQVIII isn't available to purchase or play on a single modern system and 2) it's by far the worst outfit that any main character wears in a Dragon Quest game

Ranked all mainline Dragon Quests I've planned to cover; no DQX as the MMO was never localised and DQII which has a more lukewarm reception. DQVII's PS1 and 3DS versions are different enough it's worth treating them separate.

Y mira que tiene añadidos respecto, no solo al original, si no a los remakes que ha tenido en sí mismo la tercera entrega, porque este remake no es el primero que tiene DQIII.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D remake (Switch)
Como remake, se me ha quedado poco ambicioso, no es mal juego y lo he disfrutado mucho, pero han optado por ser tan conservadores, que peca de sentirse demasiado anticuado pese a ser un remake, incluso con mejoras de calidad de vida. No ofrece nada nuevo a DQ.

Y mira que tiene añadidos respecto, no solo al original, si no a los remakes que ha tenido en sí mismo la tercera entrega, porque este remake no es el primero que tiene DQIII.
