the problem with liking horror games now is most of them are actively bad
the fundamental problem with Silent Hill 2 remake is they took the original story with all the same cutscenes and beats, which was already a bit thin and heavily weighted towards the end, and they added a ton of filler to make the game twice as long (literally)
