Who is that playing trick-or-treat? That cheeky monster flashing its spook-tacular grin is actually a visual trick. Captured here are mouse brain cells using expansion microscopy. This approach has various applications, incl. tracing neurons for connectomics studies & also scaring the onlookers. 👻
