Wildfire smoke from Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and northwestern Ontario is blanketing southern Ontario, leading to hazy skies and suppressed temperatures. Environment Canada has already issued air quality warnings in northern Ontario.

Pay attention Canadian cities. If the federal and provincial governments keep failing on climate action then cities could make a massive difference. Viva! #climatecanada #cdnpoli

What do the powers that be think will transpire between now and 2035 if emissions are not cut right now? Absolutely bizarre gymnastics of economic excuses, while storm damage is costing billions and billions of dollars. The game they play will off us all. #ClimateCanada #StopPP

Nice indeed. I've had some tough engagements, people who are riled up, rightly so. but, don't seem to understand this is a clean slate, we can leave behind the vitriol and communicate without the snark or insults, these people need some extra love and care to remember civility. #ClimateCanada
"does bluesky have drafts" no but we have kindness. we have friendship. we know love. we know how to see the world in a grain of sand, and heaven in a wildflower. we know how to hold infinity in the palm of my hand, and eternity in an hour.

Women know many things function better when healthy mucky and wet. I've always thought the earth was alive, the rivers like veins, the wind like the breath of life. But who knew we would find the yoni?
Keeping light on occasion keeps it bearable. #ClimateCanada #StopPP
When northern bogs first started forming following deglaciation, they caused some global warming. However, for the past many thousands of years they have cooled our climate. We need to save bogs and protect peat by keeping it mucky, healthy, and wet.

Vegan works, I'm pushing 60 and able to workout for 2 hours no problem. I became a vegetarian for environmental reasons and ended up a vegan over 20 years later, with better health than most of my peers. That part was a fluke. #ClimateCanada #StopPP
Another analysis, based on data from the EAT Lancet diet, found that to be both healthy and sustainable, the average UK diet would need to have 71% less meat, 56% less dairy & 57% fewer eggs (www.ciwfdocs.org/docs/~D187968)

The same will happen when we surpass 2C.
This is like a carnival ride that is broken, it is going faster and faster and we can't get the operators attention no matter how much we yell and scream. #ClimateCanada #StopPP

4/ So the gist for me is, NDP provincially, Liberal federally in this riding is the sensible way to go. The bottom line, Poilievre needs to be stopped from ever holding office, he is worse than Ford and that is saying a lot. #ClimateCanada #StopPP

Who hasn't wondered the same? It is why we kept saying climate change should be treated with a wartime effort, we meant the money spent on war, guess we should have been more specific.. that was too cryptic for the powers that be. #ClimateCanada #ClimateAction

#ClimateCanada what she said...
My blunt takes on #COP29, Trump & climate (it sucks but we've seen this before & no one country can stop progress) & why now is 💯 the right time to put a cap on oil sands emissions (just holding them to their net zero pledge & it is fossil fuel crisis after all).

Trump win no excuse to back out of climate commitments, Catherine McKenna says from COP29  | CBC Radio
The world must work together to fight climate change, regardless of who’s in the White House, says environment minister-turned-UN chair Catherine McKenna.

The fact is, we have to now accelerate our efforts worldwide, to compensate for the damage Trump will do. Canada, that is your mission, we need to topple every conservative in the country over the coming years, we can't lose one election to them. #ClimateCanada
