#Changemaking
Psychology of changemaking:
“For decades, cities around the world have said they’re too spread out,too cold, too hilly, too car-dependent to make cycling mainstream.Paris proves that narrative wrong. In the end,the French capital didn’t just build bike lanes—it built(the)belief(that change’s possible).”
New Study Shows How Paris Pedaled Its Way to a Cycling Revolution
Cycling through central Paris meant weaving between buses and scooters—a bold choice reserved for the fearless few.

Yesterday I set aside my imposter syndrome to do my annual guest lecture to Michaela O'Brien's amazing class in Media, Campaigning, and Social Change at Westminster University. Highlight of my year. Youth, passion, creativity, and such a track record of changemaking graduates.

These may not have been the bulk of the movement, but they were the most prominent. The lack of (even vehement rejection of!) ordered changemaking empowered the loudest, least interested-in-person actors to present themselves as the face of it.

Slow down. In your teaching and organizing and everything else. In my newer book, I say that slowing down doesn't have to mean losing a sense of urgency for changemaking work, but you can think of it like a speed bump: only takes 5 more seconds but allows all to arrive safely. (1/2)

Also I don’t consider fighting on bluesky political activism because that implies some level of changemaking. I do this shit for fun. For giggles. I go out in the real world and help my community when I want to advocate
