#Brexiteers
There needs to be a word like "Remoaner" for Brexiteers who got everything they demanded but are still deeply bitter, unhappy, and keen to blame anyone but themselves for Brexit chaos.

Brexcusers? Brexistentialists?
In the 35 years Daniel Hannan has been a member of the Conservative Party, they have been in government as the result of that problem electorate a total of 21 years.
A Brexiter writes...

This is among the most desperate lies I've ever seen from our government, worthy of Brexiteers a few years back. Desperate, desperate stuff.

"A belated posting of the Eurometer stall and banner in Chester kindly read comments of Alan Sugar and Michael Bloomberg. Hits Brexiteers like a dagger as they read their deceiving media"

Watching positive news from Northern Ireland on BBC Breakfast is wonderful when you remember the country a generation ago.
The GFA was the towering political achievement of the Major and Blair years
Brexiteers considering trashing the GFA are dangerous and wicked.

Like remainers were suddenly brexiteers when sweet, sweet cabinet positions were available.

@lizwebster.bsky.social the problem brexiteers face now is the "cliff edge" they claimed didn't exist on Feb 1st 2020 is actually so big they are only just beginning to hit the branches on the way down.

my money is on Food safety issues being the next big branch to hit them square in the face.
Warnings over the lack of brexit checks, i.e. checks on imports from EU, have been flagged up for quite a while now to the UKGOV.

A SPS deal would allow the UK to reduce those checks making them easier but they would still have a detrimental impact on the economy, food prices & inflation.

That is what entitlement does. It makes people believe that the EU has to do what ever the UK decides that it wants the EU to do.

Brexiteers wanted a unicorn Brexit that the EU was never going to agree to for obvious reasons.

Many remainers want a unicorn (re)join that the EU is never going to…

I can assure you (as I am certain you’d recall) there were many Brexiteers here in the UK pursuing the same claim to glory circa 2021

I've only tried the Aldi Gammon ham one... It might as well have been made of Brexiteers, it was very disappointing...

At last Labour is beginning to acknowledge the Brexit disaster and the problem of British racism. And if it offends Brexiteers and racists, that’s tough. They ain’t going to vote Labour anyway.

I get that.

Those type of remain supporters are no better than Brexiteers.

We really don’t need them in our EU.

Change is possible and change is necessary. If it doesn’t happen then the status quo is preferable to the EU.

It always boils down to "What I don't like". "woke" = don't like. "fake news" = don't like. Or in the UK here the brexiteers call everything "Anti-democratic" what they don't like (coming from the brexit vote).

"Voter turnout was 50.43%, the highest ever turnout for a Senedd by-election." And this is why turning up and voting matters – every chance you get.

Don't leave it to the Reform-voting Brexiteers.
Caerphilly result, from a progressive rather than partisan point of view, is great. 1. The more people wake up to the power of turning out/voting tactically the better; 2. Given Lab still has four years in gov't with a big majority, the more it is terrorised away from regressive policies the better.

"People who made this argument should hang their heads in shame". 'in shame' from Brexiteers seems vanishingly unlikely. How about "from a lamppost". (A metaphorical lamppost, obviously, Officer)

To note, Elon Musk exploits the intolerance between Remainers and Brexiteers to stir trouble famously stating that: "Civil war is inevitable." Regarding technocrats, yes, you'd not like it - the consensus is not so much one of helplessness but specialisation and tradition.

The WHOLE schtick of the Brexiteers was "We're so important, they'll HAVE to be nice to us." It was always absolute bullshit.

I'm all for labour making the case against Brexit, but my problem is that we've been told by the brexiteers that the deal is the problem, not the concept. Now we're being told by labour the same thing. Do they all just take us for mugs? It's exhausting
