Happy Douglass Day!

Frederick Douglass never knew his birthday. Those who kept him enslaved only recorded that he was born in February 1818.

He chose Valentine’s Day to celebrate as his birthday because his last memory of his mother was of her giving him a heart-shaped cake. #BHM2025
