In Melbourne for the Australian Biocommons Biohackathon. It was immediately cold and raining when I arrived, despite being mid spring. Melbourne is on-brand.

Want to make better use of ontologies? Check out on2vec created at DBCLS #biohackathon 2025...

It turns ontologies into embeddings you can actually use in ML models. Perfect for biomedical data, knowledge graphs, etc. osf.io/preprints/bi... github.com/david4096/on...

It was a pleasure to visit beautiful #GHENT to meet all lovely & expert @elixir-europe.org colleagues, with my new @elixir-nl.bsky.social colleague Walter. With the #RDM community, we worked a.o. on the #DataSteward Handbook & Maturity Model. We will continue our work during the #BioHackathon!
@elixirestonia.bsky.social participated in the @elixir-europe.org RDM Community F2F & DATAREX meeting in Ghent (22–24 Sept).

It was great to reconnect in person and see so many colleagues from across Europe.
👏 Many thanks to ELIXIR Belgium for hosting such an amazing meeting!
