That wraps up my 5 days in 5 Minnesota State Parks. I hope you enjoyed it. One last photo from Interstate State Park, trying to capture the lighting effect of a slight fog this morning in the St. Croix River valley #5days5parks

My grandma tilted her Instamatic any which way if she saw something she wanted to capture. This one's for you, grandma! Interstate State Park #5days5parks

I heard screeching & spent time trying to capture these birds, wondering if they were hawks ...and they were pidgeons. The screeching I heard was the 9000 kids in the park today #5days5parks

I call this trail Ankle Cracker Alley which wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't highway traffic noise here too. #5days5parks And 900 yelling kids were there today "Hey guys I found a walking stick! Hey guys! Hey guys! Guys! Hey guys! Hey! Guys! ... Hey guys!"

They say the best thing to do at Interstate State Park is walk over to the Wisconsin side. I just wanted a short hike to check out the MN side. Now I see why they say that #5days5parks

Unfortunately, there was some smoke in the air today, so shots down the Mississippi River valley were frustratingly hazy #5days5parks

The overlooks & vistas of Frontenac State Park are top notch. This is where the Mississippi River widens into Lake Pepin #5days5parks

I wonder how many people go to Frontenac State Park & think they saw bald eagles when they see these turkey vultures. This one kindly circled over me so I could get a shot. Not dead yet, pal! #5days5parks

Frontenac State Park has hike-in camping & wheelbarrows for hauling stuff to your site. My only complaint is sometimes 3 trails meet & there's no sign indicating anything. Bring a map! #5days5parks

Former site of Nevers Dam built in 1890 to hold thousands of logs floating down the St. Croix River - lumber! This allowed controlled release of logs. Removed in 1955
