I'm getting nervous: over the last few hours, part of the mainstream Right (Les Républicains) is tempted to censure the Lecornu government along with the extremes of the right and the left. The political version of FOMO is drawing the right towards the Rassemblement National bandwagon. Nerve-racking

In his maiden speech, Lecornu hands major concessions to the left on pension reform & on voting procedure. Good news: he stands a fair chance of not being overthrown by a vote of censure in the coming months. Not so good news: he may not garner the voting majority needed to pass the budget this year
