Right! The ones that are truly “interpretations” are really just that. You can shoot the shit about them but until some experimental daylight emerges there’s only so much to say. At least physically. Philosophers are free to count angels all they like.

There have been experiments that test for effects that would in theory distinguish between collapse/noncollapse, but those effects are themselves modifications to QM. E.g. in models of nonlinear QM you can in theory tell something about the global wavefunction not usually accessible

I heard it didn’t show up on radar at all. Spooky!

the “nobody really understands quantum mechanics” quote is trite but I think it’s intellectually honest to be a bit dissatisfied with where we’re at here

Monster of the Week tries this, one of the playbooks is literally “the Chosen” and meant to be the eg Buffy role. I haven’t played a group with that one but the rule books make clear you sort of need to first agree to build around that as a group if that’s your concept.

I think “Web 2.0” is the culprit for this. obviously web3 but also like “fourth Industrial Revolution” or whatever. Very tiring

taxis only in well-known/mapped areas and “well I just use it for brainstorming” are twin responses which are fine as far as they go but don’t deliver the promise or the profit that was originally envisioned

one thing that’s kind of similar I think is the extent to which the last 1% really matters. Driving a car right 99% of the time is not enough, and if you have to double-check everything an LLM gives you then the application space shrinks pretty dramatically.
