Rushed through with little scrutiny, it’s a shambolic way to reform the planning system.
It creates confusion, sidelines science and leaves nature dangerously exposed.

Can we just address the fact that the UK should not, under any circumstances, be detaining and forcibly removing victims of trafficking or torture to another country. This government is going to end up being the cause of death for already traumatized individuals.

How the media frame the far-right protests in London will be essential in how seriously the public think about what’s going on. If it isn’t framed as what it is — a hate filled, racist gathering — then it will continue radical normalisation. I hope they recognise the magnitude of their coverage.

I'm finding the remote glee around what's happening in Nepal difficult.
Yes, rising up to power, especially power maintained by wealth and corruption , is a good and much needed thing. But people have been killed and injured and unrest is unrest. The tone of many posts is insensitive.

And, I feel this is kind of important to mention, when this government seems more concerned about condemning people protesting a genocide than the people carrying out the genocide I would, personally, say, we have a somewhat bigger issue than people holding up placards in the street.

Im actually so taken by these images in how horrifying they are in their banality. showing off a human being being crushed and dehumanised by a bureaucracy. The uniform clothing, the obscured faces, the scanning and the paperwork. Just such cold callous racism on display here from the pm
If this is not deliberately racialised imagery, it is at best fantastically naive to not understand that it looks & feels like racialised dog whistling to single out this man in such a way.
