Causing trouble. He was always the boss of the group. When we go out with their afternoon feeds, he would rather chase the other goats out of the yard than go in the shelter and eat his dinner. We can eventually catch him, but today we had to be careful with his head. Here he is on the left...

I will share one image tonight. Taken on a street photography outing in London many years ago. I had left our two llamas at home in the middle of the countryside, but found this one on the Millennium Bridge. Hint - it was taken from underneath, looking up 😉

If depth of field is a problem with just one seed, then two are a nightmare 😉 #photography #macro

The lighting is the worst. In theory, you hold metallic paper to one side and bounce a flash off that to reflect in the water, but for hundreds of shots, it simply doesn't work #photography #macro

I don't know why I ever got into these. Each session could take anything up to four hours or more. Just getting the dandelion seed to stand upright is tough, but the water droplet has to be carefully placed with a syringe and ultra-fine needle #photography #macro

They have a large field shelter with mud block and rubber matting on the floor and filled with clean straw. They also have an indoor water trough with a heater. This is Baxter now, sleeping under one of the hay racks. The goats are indoors on the other side. They have rubber mats in the yard too 🙂

I don't feel very chatty tonight, so I'll just post three bug images and leave it at that.

We're going to make a box so his tablet sits a bit higher on my desk. In the meantime, I grabbed the nearest cat bed 🙂

Bubu got his very own tablet yesterday and we set it up for him this afternoon. What do you think? 😀

Just one from me tonight. A marsh harrier photographed the other day. This was the only thing I was able to get close to, apart from a quick glimpse of a stoat. I had that staked out for over an hour, but it never came back #photography #birds

3 quick posts while Bubu has his early chicken breast supper.

The Milky Way from Dungeness beach. I was new to astrophotography and couldn't believe nothing could be seen through the viewfinder. Luckily, I had my husband with me bearing a small torch to aid framing #photography #astrophotography

Fairly rare white-legged damselfly. The British Dragonfly Society actually had a UK-wide count over a few years, with reports mostly being in single digits. I know where to find them in their hundreds. (We also have a few in our fields) 😊

Back to bugs for me tonight and hoping next year is better than this one. (Too hot + too dry = no bugs) ☹️
