Powell standing up to Trump is the same thing as the Minneapolis residents standing up to ICE - both rely on the realization that all of their power flows out of their ability to make you afraid, and you don’t have to be, and then they have barely any power over you anymore.

For me, the biggest bullet point of these protests has been the explicitly pro liberal democracy aesthetics and the near total absence of critical aesthetics from the far-progressive side.
