I bought this game because I found out you can use the “Hey You, Pikachu” microphone to announce stops to the passengers. Last time I tried to play I couldn’t read enough Japanese to figure it out but it was such a cool idea 😭😭😭

Anyway if anybody read this and thought it was interesting, let me know and perhaps I will post (and subsequently infodump) more of my collection LOL

Also one of the hobby stores I like gives me piles of Japanese bulk singles to look through XD and lets me know if he gets in something like Korean or Chinese (he was the one who sold me the authentic Italian cards)

Sometimes I buy singles of Shiny Vault or chase cards if they’re not too expensive. I also look for singles of Pokémon that are my favourites (e.g. Meowth, Frillish, and I think I have just about every Cramorant card on the market by this point XD)

And within the modern sets, I just buy em for the fun of collecting!! The excitement of the randomness of packs! I’m really interested in the Shiny Vault as well.

I also want to collect cards from the Holon region, I think the lore behind the region and the Delta Species is so cool, but they are so scarce and often expensive lol. I’ll be like “how much is that Charmander!” and it’s like $80 🙄 but I am proud of the small collection I’ve gathered so far 😎

Although one hobby store near us had a bunch when I visited and I freaked out LOL and then when Zack was back again on his own another day they remembered me as the e-Reader girl and asked him if I wanted some cards they have just gotten in 😂😂😂

Anyway, I am happily collecting the current/recent sets (Zack and I are going HARD on the TCG collecting right now), but I am still always on the search for e-Reader cards. 🫡 which are an awfully lot harder to find 20 years after they first became available 😂😂😂

(Did you know German language is the closest relative to English language???)

Aside from two binders of Japanese cards, I have some in Chinese, French, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, and one random German Magnemite LOL

One of my sub-hobbies within Pokémon card collecting is cards from around the world. I always loved stuff like this ever since I worked on the “Project Globe/Pokémon around the world” articles on Bulbapedia. I have games and manga in multiple languages too.

Zack asked if I was going to add a “fake section” to my Italian collection in my international binder and I’m like “no, I’m adding an Italian section to my fake cards binder” XD because I have a binder for the sole purpose of fake cards 😂😂

So anyway Zack asked his parents if they could look for Italian Pokémon cards when they were in Italy. And well, they are in Italian. And they are from Italy. 🇮🇹😅 we had a good laugh over the fakes at least lol.

Incidentally I do have a handful of authentic Italian TCG cards (mostly, ironically, from STELLAR CROWN!!!) that I picked up at a local hobby shop. So as far as I can tell, these are fakes of the genuine Italian versions as I see the terminology for Trainers, etc, is consistent between the two.

They didn’t attempt any more foil cards. Here’s a “flat” Miraidon EX and Penny’s chase card (which they gave me two of each LOL)

The rest are basically just run of the mill fakes. The first two packs had nearly identical contents whereas the third pack had more different ones. Also, all three packs were Scarlet and Violet base set and not even Stellar Crown!!!!

So the holofoil cards that came face down? Are SO UGLY. And they aren’t from Stellar Crown they’re all from SwSh era sets 😂 they edited out all the details and backgrounds so it’s just….white? And what happened to poor Typhlosion’s hand!!

So first of all the quality on the fake ones is ugly AF, the back side is printed much darker with a bluish tint. (Authentic card on the left by comparison). The trim size is also smaller on the fakes.

Incidentally, I have bought genuine cards from France before, they come with a code card (that is blue instead of green) and it actually worked when I scanned it into my game lol I guess they didn’t care about the language 😂
