Picking up Melee in high school taught me how to socialize without the context of school/extracurriculars/scouts and how to teach myself things. Hugely recommend fighting games.

My group has been playing it for a couple months. TLDR they love it and I think you would too. There's no missing attacks which makes both running and playing a little more streamlined, PCs get more powerful the longer they fight, really neat subsystems for between adventures and negotiating w/ NPCs
