I have also had a hard time figuring out how things work around here. It took me a while to figure out how to reply, and yet once I did (see image) it seemed obvious. Kinda makes me wonder if you have to have had an account for a minimum length of time before you're allowed to reply to things.

I call it "Seasons of Yarn; or, 525,000 Ends to Weave In."

Each square is a day. Center color is low temp, next color is high temp. Next color is kWh produced by my solar panels. Final color is day length.

The month initials are done in the color of the average daily kWh produced for the month.
Complete 6'x6' afghan, one square per day, plus one extra square indicating the beginning of each month. At the end are a 2 and a 4 representing the year 2024. The colors used for each square indicate the low and high temperature, the number of kWh produced by my solar panels, and day length. A turquoise ring superimposed on the square indicates the inches of rain that day, whereas the same in white indicates snow. A detail image of the blanket, showing the color scale used for both low and high temperatures. There are six shades of blue and four shades of pink and red. Each pink or blue color in the daily squares represents a temperature within a 10 degree range. The blues represent temperatures from 10° F to nearly 70° F, from darkest to lightest blue. The pinks represent temperatures from 70° F to over 100° F, from lightest pink to darkest red. Each green or purple color in the daily squares represents a range of kWh spanning 12.5% of the maximum possible output of the panels. The purples represent kWh from 0% to 50%, from darkest to lightest purple. The greens represent kWh from 50% to 100%, from lightest to darkest green.
