Just this guy, you know? (he/him)

gamer (videot and TTRPG), avid reader, coffee lover, and music lover.

Queer, hermit, and sometimes tired of the world.

I cook for a living.
Oddly enough I actually have your first book sitting in my 'to-read' list, so maybe I'll jump into that next.

I think it's doable, though I would probably use potato starch to replace flour rather than straight up mashed potatoes.

Similar to this gluten free quick puff recipe:

Only thing I can think of is Pommes Dauphine, which is a kind of puff (not puff pastry, but similar to pate a choux, which you use to make cream puffs).

I dunno... "Throw Mama From the Train" maybe?

It was an interesting dynamic. Scully came in already respecting Mulder. Mulder viewed her as an agent to shepard through the politics of being an agent (once he realized she was a pawn in another’s game)

As the series went on it was easy to forget how capable they were even at the start.

Then there was Scully.

She seemed pretty newly out of training. She had quite a bit more education than Mulder, with her BS in physics and MD making her a full doctor.

She didn’t have the connections, political clout, or conman charm Mulder had. Though he did have a decade of experience on her.

I've made them with diced pork or diced beef. Actually have the recipe adaptable to basically any protein option (or just do it vegetarian and use lentils and beans or whatever).

It's basically just stew topped with mashed potatoes anyways.

I remember a fast casual place that had Italian wraps like this as one of their major items. Pasta and sauce and so on in a wrap.

Can't remember the name of the place, but it was pretty good.

I'm still trying to process book three, it was such a mind fuck.

Looking forward to book 5, also looking forward to the next Zoey book because I love that setting.

Because they knew what was coming and they know what they did was wrong.

So they are trying to convince everyone that 15 year olds are adults, and they are trying to push that younger.

Don't let them do it. They are a bunch of predators who deserve to be punished for what they have done.

One of the Mac n Cheese recipes I make is a bacon, white cheddar, and apple mac.

I also make an apple pie with chunks of sharp cheddar baked into the pie.

Apples and Cheese go together really well.

The constant hoarding of wealth by those at the 'top' means that no one else has the money to buy things.

This is what late stage capitalism looks like. This is the whole system falling apart because of rampant greed.

But yeah, blame the underpaid workers for not spending their money with you.
November 9, 2025 at 5:28 PM
That's it. People don't have money to buy things and so they stop buying things that are not essential.

Sorry Chipotle and all the other overpriced fast and fast casual places. By not paying your damn workers enough you made it so they can't afford to eat at your place.

GenX, I used to think of myself as centrist but the older I got the more left I got.

I also was on the net since early on, which feels like gave me more resilience against internet BS. I played MUDs, used old message boards and IRC, and learned to not feed trolls and to be wary of anything printed.

Not as effective as just ignoring their bullshit, but it makes it easier to see their tactics when they are bouncing off the brick wall of a computer.

These assholes just like to argue, often in bad faith, and don't really believe anything they are saying, do they?

Years back Hallmark had a neat Snoopy mug and I had to buy it. Usually use it for hot cocoa.
