I'm simply non-judgmental due to me, myself, being a lot to handle at times. I'm someone quite mentally ill, different diagnoses across the board - I choose not to judge, but rather try to understand.

If I can't - so be it, but I'll always try. Not a "benefit of the doubt' but a "you never know".

AND THE CROWD GOES MILD
Microsoft is turning Windows 11 into an "agentic OS." It's starting with AI agents on the taskbar, as well as some underlying changes to the Windows platform. Microsoft is betting on these changes for the future of Windows. Full details 👇 www.theverge.com/news/821948/...

Been playing more games outside of Team Fortress 2 again, and it's been a lot of fun. Mainly indie stuffs and my lord, so much creativity!

It honestly puts much of Triple-A game development to shame.

I genuinely dunno why so many dislike Material 3: Expressive in regards to Google Pixel.

Personally? I love the design aesthetic and changes! Feels much more alive & colorful, clear without too many unnecessary changes.

I dig it.

My love for the Nintendo 3DS is... ah, I'm already nostalgic, lmao.

I love this damn handheld so much! Whether homebrewed or not - it's truly a good system. Fun games, dope eShop, the THEMES!

Just a time I miss - laying in bed and playing my 3DS to let's plays on YouTube. Ah, nostalgia...

One feature I'd like to see in Google Pixel Screenshots is OCR from within the app for saved screenshots. You can do this already just using the Pixel through other methods, but still, quality of life sorta thing, lmao.

It's kinda crazy to me how often I hear tech is "useless & dumb" not just in a jokey sense.

Like, yes, a lot of mainstream tech is ass, but let's not undermine the PHENOMENAL efforts, sometimes, by just a couple people, that truly can make our setups something special.

So much talent out there.

Looking at the options - I think the community really outdid Google at their own game, in terms of the Pixel "exclusive" apps.

Screenshots, weather app, Journal - there are better alternatives everywhere! Often more feature rich and less censored compared to Google's offering.

Despite the on-and-off history - I really do like Budgie. For a long time, it felt like that middle-ground between GNOME & KDE I so desperately desired.

Really cool to see it still movin' along, now, Wayland only!

It seems the Nothing Android-line of phones is in some hot water with people. Mainly due to them bloating up the "basic" Android experience they tout.

I'd complain and say it's dumb, but Google just added the Wicked lockscreen themes and I love Pixel's, so LMAO

Nah, definitely not cool of Nothing.

Whenever I see someone new ask a Linux question and people jump in, and might I say, being nice & respectful about what the other person may need always makes me smile.

I love this community and want to see it continue to grow and be successful. It's just nice seeing people welcome others in. <3

Many act like *their* social media of choice is infinitely better than anyone else's.

Look- there are some no doubt terrible options, but for the majority of the **SANE** ones? Like, I understand the debate between Fedi & Bluesky, but the hate-slinging I do not.

Use what you like! Live & let be!

The performance difference between Nvidia 550 (Debian) and Nvidia 580 (Fedora) is STAGGERING for me, personally.

Running a GTX 1650 and it feels... just so much better around the general desktop and in games, too.

Finally did something I've wanted to do with my Fedora install for a while and re-did my install with encryption!

Simply, just more secure. I have it set to auto-unlock with my TPM2.0, as well. Pretty rad stuff, and I'm always interested to learn more about Linux.

i am not under any threat of danger or losing housing, and am aware that debt is a personal fault. i am unemployed for about a year.

i will only ask once, i just need enough to cover the monthly minimum. if i am funded over the minimum, itll only pay the debt, and never luxuries.

Who here uses the official discord client on Linux?

I know it's a fine choice for many - for me, though? I much prefer something like Vesktop w/ Vencord.

Lots of nice plugins, theme support & the-like. Just a generally much better discord experience on Linux, imo!

Fedora feels so much like a "base" Linux install w/ just enough tweaks that I'd probably make myself, any way.

Everything else feels completely up to me - which, I love. It's not exactly a "beginner" distro, but it is a great vanilla option, if that makes sense?

I'm completely disinterested in snaps and have no desire to use them, so I typically avoid Ubuntu, like, entirely.

Beyond any issues with Canonical, I just prefer other options. Fedora, my beloved. <3

Thinking of setting up NextCloud at some point. I'd really like to replace Google Services, but I'd need something dedicated to host it on, I think, for my own needs.

Ah, well. In due time! I'd really like to invest in self-hosting as a hobby.

I used to be so like, against the idea of using Flatpaks. They just seemed unnecessary to me, at one point... until their convenience finally resonated.

Now, I love them! Super useful and like I said, convenient.

Contemplating just completely turning off the Google Feed on Android at this point, simply because I use & prefer using RSS way more.

It's just... much nicer, neater, and overall way less toxic of an experience. The Google Feed can be... quite much, at times.
