🚨‼️: This morning, Pittsburgh strikers are back at work!

Today is day 1,132 of the @pghguild.com strike against @post-gazette.com. It’s also presumably the last day of the longest strike in Pittsburgh history.

Bob puts it better here than I can, as I felt like Homer on Smartline many times. We won back our dental plan too, it just took a few extra days.

A reminder that at the beginning of the @pghguild.com strike the Hop Along Cafe was open.

See you next week, @post-gazette.com!

It is completely absurd that this fight (of 3 years ‼️) was even necessary, but when bosses steal, we fight, and we do NOT give up.

So proud of the tenacity, courage and persistence of our Pittsburgh family ✊💪celebrating with you today.
🚨BREAKING: STRIKERS WIN!

The order affirms what we’ve said all along: The PG’s lawless union-busting cannot stand. We made sure it didn’t. We’re taking back what they stole from us. We won this strike.

This win is only possible because supporters near and far stood with us on picket lines, called out our bad bosses and gave generously so we could feed our families and keep a roof over our heads.

We’ve always been doing this for the community we strive to serve. That’s you.

Unlike the many previous rulings in our favor against the PG, the 3rd Circuit has enforcement power.

1118 days. We fought, we won. What else is there to say. 🫡
BREAKING: We won!

Today the 3rd Circuit Court ordered the @post-gazette.com to restore our contract it illegally tore up 5 years ago. That’s our health care, PTO, right to a 40-hr. work week, short-term disability and so much more we’ve struck for 3+ years.

Shrinking PiratesFest to one day makes sense considering the Parrot didn’t even bother coming to day two last year and we were stuck with the Comcast remote.

There is someone in Pittsburgh designing contractor/small business vehicle wraps in a formulaic way with big thick typography, bright colors, and anthropomorphized animal mascots. Who is this person? Is it you? I’d like to have a word about your dogshit 90s cereal box designs.
