Today I was at Shenshuping Panda Base to see the SNZ boys one last time before leaving China~Bei Bei was the highlight of my day. He spent over 1 hour outside with us. Bubba is still charismatic and gave us a show. Seeing him and Cheej on the same day made me realize that they really look alike.😍

Bubba climbed a tree and hung out up there. His yard has several trees but there are treeguards on all except one. When he was living at Bifengxia Panda Base he had many trees to climb and he was able to go really high up but that's not possible now. They also cut off all the leaves on his tree.🌳

Tai Shan having his afternoon meal today~found out that he mated with a 15 year old female panda named Xiao Bai Tu this past spring but no cub resulted. She is the mother of their twin boys, Bai Feng (living in Malaysia) and Bai Xue (at Beijing Zoo)~saw Mrs. Xiao Bai Tu today and she's a cutie💕

Cheej is almost as big as I am!
Today Cheej found apples in a bush..Shenshuping Panda Base usually does not share details about individual pandas but did tell Chinese news media that Cheej now weighs 280 pounds. Found out that apples are his fav~he is seen eating carrots first because he is saving his favorite food for last🍎

Xiao Qi Ji's enrichment today was a straw mat with treats in it. I saw the panda psychologist pay him a visit and he went in for some panda therapy. Also, Cheej's neighbor is still Mei Mei, a 7 year old female panda. He does not seem to mind her even though they can see each other over the wall.❤️

4pm Cheej today~ had a light extra meal..has slimmed down recently. He sat close to where the visitors were standing and stared directly at us, reminiscent of when he sat outside on the climbing structure at Smithsonian National Zoo. He has been staying indoors at night because thunderstorms 💫

Cheej has time with the panda paparazzi in the mornings. There are a lot of folks filming him and he seems to know they are there for him so he made sure to sit and pose for the cameras~such a sweetie~ He came to where the visitors were many times and just strolled by gracing us with his presence.🌟

Today I visited Xiao Qi Ji (Smithsonian National Zoo) at the Shenshuping Panda Base. I called out Cheej~and this was his reaction~I think he still remembers he is Cheej even though now they call him Xiao Qi Ji in China. Our boy is doing okay, he was very calm today, got to spend a lot of time there❤️

It is with great sadness to share Gao Gao (San Diego Zoo) passed away today (Nov. 27) at 2:30pm China time. I was at Shenshuping Panda Base today and heard from panda fans. This video is from last month's livestream. I am super sad. He was 35 years old. The cause of death was not released. RIP💔

I met my new niece(s) and/or nephew(s) today at the Moon Nursery of Chengdu Panda Base! Very happy to see these new additions to my family. They look to be 2-3 months old. They slept while my older sister Ai Bang was eating breakfast.🥰

Yuan Meng's (Zoo Beauval) fur looks good and he seems healthy. He had a lot of visitors today because he is at the entrance of a newly built panda building, across from the nursery with new babies. Le petit prince ate a lot, was enjoying the taste of the bamboo, and even came to sit in front of us.👍

I found Yuan Meng (Zoo Beauval) today at Chengdu Panda Base. He moved to Starry Sky Pavilion. Le petit prince was looking pretty happy eating his brunch. His yard is on the smaller side but has a big pool. He lives across from the Star Nursery and has 2 female pandas (3 year old twins) as neighbors💚

Today I visited Chengdu Panda Base and met the superstar panda sisters He Hua and He Ye, granddaughters of Yang Yang (Zoo Atlanta). The wait is usually 1 hour to see them for 3 minutes but if you go early morning on a Tuesday then the wait is only 25 minutes. He Hua was awakened by a playful He Ye.💕
