The new twins at Shanghai Zoo, Qian Ran (older girl twin, on the right) and Qian Yi (younger boy twin, on the left) born to panda Qian Jian went outside for the first time and were put in a basket and then on a blankie, to bask in the sun~👶

11.30.25 Moo Deng (Khao Kheow Open Zoo) update - was bouncy, tried to destroy the keeper's basket, was not very moisturized, and was unbothered~photos by her keeper💜

Xiao Qi Ji's enrichment today was a straw mat with treats in it. I saw the panda psychologist pay him a visit and he went in for some panda therapy. Also, Cheej's neighbor is still Mei Mei, a 7 year old female panda. He does not seem to mind her even though they can see each other over the wall.❤️

Today Cheej found apples in a bush..Shenshuping Panda Base usually does not share details about individual pandas but did tell Chinese news media that Cheej now weighs 280 pounds. Found out that apples are his fav~he is seen eating carrots first because he is saving his favorite food for last🍎

Tai Shan having his afternoon meal today~found out that he mated with a 15 year old female panda named Xiao Bai Tu this past spring but no cub resulted. She is the mother of their twin boys, Bai Feng (living in Malaysia) and Bai Xue (at Beijing Zoo)~saw Mrs. Xiao Bai Tu today and she's a cutie💕

Sweetie Tai Shan was taking a nap at around noon. He has the softest looking fur out of all the pandas I saw on this trip. Despite his age, his fur is in great shape, very fluffy.☁️

Another visitor called out his name and he stopped in front of us during his walk. Bubba spends a good part of his time outside pacing and there's a specific route that he repeats. While on his patrol there is scentmarking and inspecting going on too. He seems to have lost some weight as well.😳

Bubba climbed a tree and hung out up there. His yard has several trees but there are treeguards on all except one. When he was living at Bifengxia Panda Base he had many trees to climb and he was able to go really high up but that's not possible now. They also cut off all the leaves on his tree.🌳

Bubba went in the pool even though it was cold. It's located closest to visitors. This was after he stared at me right in the eye, flashed a little smile, and then walked into the pool. Bei Bei is truly a heartthrob~ he is still getting used to life at Shenshuping and stays indoors when eating.🤩

Bubba went in the pool even though it was cold. It's located closest to visitors. This was after he stared at me right in the eye, flashed a little smile, and then walked into the pool. Bei Bei is truly a heartthrob~ he is still getting used to life at Shenshuping and stays indoors when eating.🤩
Today I was at Shenshuping Panda Base to see the SNZ boys one last time before leaving China~Bei Bei was the highlight of my day. He spent over 1 hour outside with us. Bubba is still charismatic and gave us a show. Seeing him and Cheej on the same day made me realize that they really look alike.😍

Today I was at Shenshuping Panda Base to see the SNZ boys one last time before leaving China~Bei Bei was the highlight of my day. He spent over 1 hour outside with us. Bubba is still charismatic and gave us a show. Seeing him and Cheej on the same day made me realize that they really look alike.😍
It was announced that grandpa Gao Gao (San Diego Zoo) passed away yesterday from pneumonia~this video is from the 10/6/25 broadcast streamed at the panda retirement home❤️

I got to meet 1 year old Qi Ying at Chongqing Zoo~she's just a cute fluffball. In the morning she nursed, took a long nap, and in the afternoon she slept and had a snack. She is known to give keepers are hard time when it's time to go home but today she went inside on time with her mom, Hao Qi.💫

I got to meet Liang Yue's cub at Chongqing Zoo today~this baby panda is 5 months old and a female. The keeper brought her outside once in the morning and once in the afternoon to play with toys and bask in the sun~so precious👶

6 year old Shuang Shuang, the male twin of Chong Chong at Chongqing Zoo, is doing well living on his own. He was separated from his brother Chong Chong, and the twin girls, Xi Xi and Qing Qing, who he grew up with, earlier this year. He has adorable Mickey Mouse ears.😍

6 year old Shuang Shuang, the male twin of Chong Chong at Chongqing Zoo, is doing well living on his own. He was separated from his brother Chong Chong, and the twin girls, Xi Xi and Qing Qing, who he grew up with, earlier this year. He has adorable Mickey Mouse ears.😍
Chong Chong (top, left) was reunited with Xi Xi and Qing Qing in the afternoon at Chongqing Zoo, and he went to cuddle one of the girls. These 3 pandas have grown up together since they were cubs and are very attached to each other even at 6 years old. The zoo is building 3 new yards.💞
